Stay safe during repair work
More injuries happen on residential building sites in New Zealand than in any other construction workplace. Construction injury rates here are double the rate of Australia and nearly six times the number in the United Kingdom.
Safe6 reminds workers and homeowners of the six potentially fatal risks which can occur during residential repair work. The goal is zero harm and to achieve this we have safety policies in place for all staff, contractors and subcontractors as well as specific safety plans for every house. Each home repair site has a hazard board which reminds workers and site visitors of the risks which are present on the property and how these risks should be managed.
Fletcher EQR and EQC want everyone to stay safe on site so take the time to plan work before starting a repair job, make sure the correct documentation is in place and report any incidents or near misses immediately.
Stay Safe. Stay Alive.
